What could be better on a cold winter day than sitting by the fire with your family and a hot cup of cocoa with a dollop of Peppermint Whipped Cream? This whipped cream is perfect with desserts, too! How about a dollop on your favorite chocolate cake? My wedding cake, back in the day, was chocolate (of course!) with a peppermint filling! It was absolutely delicious, so you can see that I’m partial to peppermint!

1 pint of heavy whipping cream
1 bag of red and white peppermint star candies

In a food processor* chop candies until finely crushed leaving a few pieces. In a mixing bowl, beat heavy whipping cream until thick. Fold in crushed candies. Make hot chocolate and dollop cream on top. Enjoy!

* If you do not have a food processor, place the candies in a plastic bag, seal and crush with a rolling pin or can.
