Homemade Baking Powder
Making your own baking powder is easy and inexpensive. If I do purchase baking powder, I prefer Rumford’s or Argo’s Baking Powder because they are aluminum free. I find that baking powder containing aluminum can leave a bitter metallic taste and I prefer to give my family aluminum-free baking powder.
¼ c. cream of tartar
2 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cornstarch
Combine all ingredients and store in an air tight container.
