Many thanks to my friend and one of WRAL’s Local Dish hosts, Lisa Prince, for sharing this fantastic recipe with all of us! Lisa made this cake for a Dinner Party I recently hosted and it was amazing!
1 box Swiss chocolate or German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 small box instant vanilla pudding mix
1 1/2 cups milk
3 eggs
3/4 cups oil
Mix together and pour into 3 (9-inch) pans that have been sprayed with cooking spray. bake in a 325 for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Icing:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Cream together and fold in 12 ounces of Cool Whip
4 Hershey bars (plain or with almonds), chopped
Spread icing between the layers and top. Sprinkle extra chopped candy bar over cake if you’d like. Refrigerate.
