My parents were in town for a couple of weeks. Mom and I were invited to luncheon in my neighborhood and had a delightful time. We enjoyed this fruit salad so much that we of course requested the recipe. My neighbor had been given the recipe years before and was happy to pass it on and now I will pass it onto to you. It is just delicious…and super easy, too! Every time I make this delicious salad I think of the lovely lunch my neighbor treated my Mom and I to.
This recipe is great especially in the winter when it is not only difficult to find fresh fruit, but expensive!
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks
1 (16 ounce) can sliced peaches, cut into pieces
1 (11 ounce ) can mandarin orange segments
3 ripe bananas, sliced just before serving
1/2 c. pitted cherries
2 granny smith or golden delicious apples, peeled, seeded and cubed
1 (3.5 ounce) box of instant vanilla pudding
1 1/2 cups milk
1/3 cup orange juice
3/4 cup sour cream
In a large bowl combine vanilla, milk, orange juice and sour cream. Fold in all of your fruit except eh bananass. Cover and chill until redy to serve. Slice bananas and add when ready to serve. Enjoy!
