Salsa means sauce in Spanish, and its origins can be traced to the Incas, Mayans, and Aztecs. This is a healthy alternative to the store-bought salsa filled with preservatives and additives and it does not compare in taste! Fresh is best!
4 medium tomatoes, cut into small dice
1 white onion, cut into small dice
Handful of fresh chives, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
Bunch of cilantro, finely chopped
Handful of fresh parsley
1 jalapeño, minced (leave seeds out for mild flavor)
1 green bell pepper, chopped
Juice of two limes
1 tsp. kosher salt or to taste
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or dice by hand, stir and enjoy!
