1 cup steel cut, rolled or old-fashioned oats
¾ cup walnuts, almonds or pecans
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 to 1 cup dried figs or apricots, chopped
4 cup water
½ cup half and half
½ cup pure maple syrup, agave nectar, raw honey or light brown sugar
Combine all ingredients in your crock pot. Cook on low for 8 hours. Best to start when you go to bed so your oatmeal will be ready when you wake up! Wait and see how nice your house smells!
